Ultimatum I believe …
Ultimatum I believe is a used storyline from the late 90’s where Magneto fliped the Earth’s magnetic poles and killed a bunch of heroes and put the rest in concentration camps. Either if I am right or wrong I am glad I won’t be picking up that crap.
I miss the Review A Day, Alex. Please get back to them if you can.

Ultimate Spider-Man …
Ultimate Spider-Man is good if you like Spider-Man.
I didn’t like Millar’s Ult X-Men, but I heard it got okay for a while.
Ult. Fantastic Four started out pretty good, but got a little repetitive.
The Ultimates 1 and 2 is like an awesome action movie. I strongly recommend it to fans who enjoy big action. Don’t read Ultimates 3. It’s crap.
I haven’t read many of the mini series, but I enjoyed most of Ultimate Galactus. I think it’s give or take for most fans.

No, I’m saying that you buying books from a guy who time and again has written terrible stories, and is now pretty much in charge of ruining everything Ultimate except for Spider-Man, is allowing him to continue to write and ruin more things.

personally i really read the ultimate universe.never got into it..
is there any series in the ultimate universe worth picking up..that is not crap?

Anything which takes place in the Ultimate Universe I stay away from, so I didnt read Ultimatum and from your review Im glad I didnt! The ads for it by David Finch did seem totally awesome though it has to be said!
I wish I had picked up Gigantic, I looked at it on the shelves but didnt give it much attention so I skipped past it. I’ll pick it up if there are any copies left next week!

With a lot of the decisions Quesada is making lately (Brand New Day, Vampire Apes, $4.00 5 page comics, etc…) he will destroy the same company that he saved. I guess it is kind of his right, I just wish it was more interesting.

Adult Johnny WAS dead in the Ultimate FF/ Ultimate X-Men crossover annuals. Reed was pretending to be dead because Sue was an evil dictator who was sleeping with Namor and Thing was human again. You must have only read the first issue… lol spoilers.

Im going to get the Ultimatum trade when it comes out, as i have every other ultimate marevl book in trade form already, actually every single book.
But Ultimatum sounds TERRIBLE! Like they arent even trying. deaths happen off panel so they might not even be dead? Jonny Storm is dead, but in the Ultimate Fantastic Four Annual he was alive with Sue Storm and it was Reed Richards and Thing that were missing… It sounds so bad, i wish Marvel would find a clue!

I’m grudginly …
I’m grudginly reading Ultimatum and it could be much worse. For instance the Punisher War Journal Annual is a new benchmark in crappy comics. The cover, interior art and story are horrible and to top it off it cost me $4.50.
Sadly I get stuck with all the annuals for titles that I subscribe to online. Some annuals are good and some not so bad but this one sets the brown standard.
I wich you guys reviewed it this week just so I could hear you trash it.

Jeph Loeb writing has really gone down hill. It looks like he’s going the way of Frank Miller. I was very disappointed in the Ultimatum. But when I think about it I’m not that surprised after the Ultimates 3.
