What questions would you ask in a book review?

I need to write a book review on The Dare Game by Jacqueline Wilson. I need to know some questions to answer because I don’t know what sort of thing you would ask.

You should interduce the protagonist (main character) and the antagonist (character that causes problems for the main character). Tell whether you would recommend this book to others, a brief summary of the book, the theme (what you learn from reading the book), why you liked the book. Hope this helps!

A book review is just that. What you should do is ask, did I like the book and why? When you get into the why, be specific. If you liked the plot, wonderful. Why? What did the author do to draw you into the story and keep you involved? If you didn’t like the plot, that’s fine too, but tell exactly why you didn’t like it. “It’s boring,” is not enough. Do the same kind of questioning for characterization and themes. Use quotes to show what you mean. Do not just write a long summary of the book. I’m willing to bet the teacher has already read the book.
